Therapy Services
It is important for me to work collaboratively with each individual client to create a treatment plan that is specific to their needs and goals.
In order to best serve clients, I utilize techniques from the following empirically-based treatment modalities:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of therapy that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies along with behavior-change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility. A primary goal of ACT is to accept what is out of your personal control and commit to action that improves and enriches your life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that treats problems and boosts overall mood by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a form of therapy that combines features of CBT with mindfulness techniques (relaxation is an example).
